If You Give a Dog a Smoothie…

If you give a dog a smoothie… they just might love it doggone-it.  Ok, I know that was cheesy but you know the story, right?

Warm, sunny days out on the patio watching the pups play in the yard (or dreaming of it)  calls for a refreshing homemade smoothie.  If you’re like me, it never fails to have leftovers, so just share with the pups! (Because, ya know..no wasting food around here these days)  So all you need is a blender and some fresh or frozen fruits and veggies to make this healthy sweet treat!

Smoothies are the perfect tasty and nutritious treat packed with vitamins and nutrients including copper, magnesium, antioxidants, calcium, potassium, B6, C and fiber.

This is an excellent option to supplement your pups diet while keeping them hydrated. You can also add this to your dogs kibble to create interest.

*collagen is beneficial by providing pain and arthritis relief, improving digestion, promoting healthy joints, bones and skin, a healthy coat & can increase appetite.

Incrediberry Smoothie

  • Instant Goat’s Milk (1/2 tbsp)

Pumpkin Spice

  • pumpkin pie or cinnamon spice
  • water & ice
Green Machine
  • 1 cup kale or spinach

There are so many combinations you can play around with when it comes to smoothie artistry.  If that’s a thing.  I have my easy everyday recipes but you can always add in something new to give it a little twist.  Don’t hesitate to get creative!

Not only can these be a good snack, but you can also pour them into a silicone mold and freeze for later.  This will keep them busy as well so…winning.

[Side note: I finally bit the bullet (actually my nutribullet bit the dust) and purchased the Vitamix 5200 after ALOT of research and contemplation.  No shame, I took advantage of the affirm payment plan with 0% apr on that bad boy. I use it almost daily and couldn’t be happier.  It’s been on my wishlist for some time now. ]
